Dr. Jennifer Doan ND HOM RAc.

Naturopathic Physician, Professional Homeopath, Somatic Therapist, Registered Acupuncturist

I've been in practice as a homeopath and naturopathic doctor for more than 20 years

As a Professional Homeopath and Naturopathic Physician,  I am uniquely trained in a range of modalities including functional medicine and somatic psychotherapy. Not only do you get the benefit of all of this knowledge, but you are also getting the benefit of 20 plus years of experience.

Depending on your specific concerns, we may lean on one form of treatment more than another, and you are still going to get the additional benefits of all of that background knowledge.  I treat the whole person and not just your most pressing problems. As we work together you might be surprised to discover nagging complaints that may seem unrelated begin to resolve.

My education includes a four year ND from the Australasian College of Natural Therapies (ACNT) and a degree as a Naturopathic Physician from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. I am a member of the College of Homeopaths of Ontario, the College of Naturopathic Physicians of BC and the College of TCM Practitioners of BC. I am a member of the BC Society of Homeopaths and the Canadian Society of Homeopaths and a Certified Integrative Body Psychology Practitioner. I conduct an international practice from my office in Vancouver, BC.

I have been trained by some of the best alternative medicine schools in the world and continue to study with some of the most innovative doctors working today, including Dr. Rajan Sankaran and the Bombay group, Louis Klein, Michal Yakir, Jan Sholten, Dinesh Chauhan, Roger Morrison, Jayash Shah, Sujit Chatterjee and Schachindra and Bawisha Joshi and Dr. Daniel Kalish.

I have the designation of HMC, having completed the 3 yr Homeopathic Master Clinician course with Louis Klein in Vancouver, and have completed advanced clinical training, studying with the Bombay group in Mumbai, India.

I am a teacher and trainer of Naturopathic physicians and other health professionals. I am interested in working with those who are committed, have the financial resources and those who feel they can work through until the end. I talk about somatic work, embodiment and attunement, have you breathing on the table and get to the root of things. I take your case and give homeopathic medicines that will shift your energy and help true and genuine healing to take place.

I am a teacher and speaker

I have served on the teaching and clinical faculty of the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine for six years and at Dominion Herbal College for two years. I am committed to sharing knowledge and education, and am a regular speaker at the BC Society of Homeopaths conferences and a speaker for the British Columbia Naturopathic Association. I regularly mentor fourth year Naturopathic students in the clinic who are required to do preceptor hours for their graduation.  If you are interested in having me as a speaker, please reach out.

I’m a traveller

I have travelled extensively in my life. In my twenties, I lived in Europe, where it is normal for family doctors to prescribe homeopathics as well as pharmaceuticals.  I later studied Naturopathic medicine in Australia, where herbal and alternative medicine is well-established, well-respected, and grounded in science. My studies continue to take me to Europe, all over North America and India. I am a musician and play with the Capilano Flute Choir in north Vancouver. I am passionate about photography and completed my studies in Photography at Langara College in 2017 and you may visit my photography website at

Alternative medicine: proven, natural, integrated

We can be so enmeshed in our North America medical system that we overlook alternative health systems that have been proven for centuries to reduce pain and improve health and quality of life.

Your body has an innate ability to heal. I know that might sound unlikely, especially if you have been living with ongoing health problems or feeling unwell for some time.  But your body is smarter than you think.  We can work together to understand and support it so you finally start to feel better.

Whether you are looking for help with an ongoing health issue or simply interested in a more natural approach to taking care of yourself and your family, I encourage you to consider my practice.

Take charge of your health and well being

This is your opportunity to partner with a warm and supportive practitioner who will gently guide you and your family towards optimal health and well-being.
