Dr. Jennifer Doan ND HOM RAc

Your body has an innate ability to heal

I know that might sound unlikely, especially if you have been living with ongoing health problems or feeling unwell for some time.  But your body is smarter than you think.  We can work together to understand and support it so you finally start to feel better.

I've been in practice as a homeopath and naturopathic doctor for more than 20 years, treating men, women and children for both acute and chronic conditions.  Based in central Vancouver, I offer pain management and stress therapy, blending state-of-the-art testing with mind-body medicine and cutting-edge alternative medicine.

As someone people trust with their health, my integrity - as well as the integrity of my practice and the broader profession - is incredibly important to me.

I've been trained by some of the best alternative medicine schools in the world and continue to study with some of the most innovative doctors working today, including Dr. Rajan Sankaran and the Bombay group, Louis Klein, Michal Yakir, Jan Sholten, Dinesh Chauhan, Roger Morrison, Jayash Shah, Sujit Chatterjee and Schachindra and Bawisha Joshi.

I have the designation of HMC, having completed the 3 yr Homeopathic Master Clinician course with Louis Klein in Vancouver, and have completed advanced clinical training, studying with the Bombay group in Mumbai, India.   I have served on the teaching and clinical faculty of the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine for six years. I am committed to sharing knowledge and education, and have been a  regular speaker at the BCSH conferences and a speaker at local and national conferences.

Alternative medicine: proven, natural, integrated

We can be so enmeshed in our North America medical system that we overlook alternative health systems that have been proven for centuries to reduce pain and improve health and quality of life.

In my twenties, I lived in Europe, where it is normal for family doctors to prescribe homeopathics as well as pharmaceuticals.  I later studied in Australia, where herbal medicine is well-established, well-respected, and grounded in science.

Treatment completely catered to you

Every individual is unique, which is why my approach to medicine always begins with deep listening.  I consider not just your physical symptoms but also the mental and emotional aspects that may be impacting how you feel.

Think about it this way: if you are incredibly nervous about something, your stomach starts to twist and turn, your heart pounds, you might lose your appetite, and sometimes your digestive system acts up on you - right?

If that is true, then it is also true that our minds and bodies are connected in other ways that can have positive or negative effects on our health.  An integrated approach to medicine will allow you to gently address your entire being - not just a single symptoms or body part.

Towards a happier, healthier life

Whether you are looking for help with an ongoing health issue or simply interested in a more natural approach to taking care of yourself and your family, I encourage you to consider my practice.

This is your opportunity to partner with a warm and supportive practitioner who will gently guide you and your family towards optimal health and well-being.
