Missed Appointment and Cancellation Policies
We value your time and hope you value ours.
What is the clinic cancellation policy:
You will be charged 100% of your scheduled visit for a missed appointment or appointments not cancelled 48 business hours in advance.
If you are new to the practice and cancel or no show within 48 business hours of your first visit and wish to reschedule, full payment will be required at the time of rescheduling.
If you book your appointment within the 48 business hour time frame, this policy is in effect immediately.
You can avoid our missed visit policy by calling the clinic (1-855-409-5150) no later than 48 business hours before your appointment time, so we have enough time to help another patient get the care they need and deserve.
Our cancellation policy is not personal. This is a business and it is standard business practice for many businesses to have a cancellation policy. Remember that hotels and airbnb have an equally, if not more strict, cancellation policy. This is a healthcare setting, and so it can feel personal, but I assure you, it’s not. It’s business.
You are responsible for remembering scheduled appointments.
We want to help you avoid running into our missed-visit policy. We do our best to ensure that you have reminders for your appointment times. The booking software provides multiple options for reminders for your appointment times. If you feel you need more reminders, you can adjust in your preferences.
What if I am unwell
Being in an acute situation (unwell for any reason) is not a reason to cancel your appointment. In fact, it is the best time to be seen. If you have a scheduled in person appointment, please let the clinic know and we can change your appointment to a Telehealth appointment. As a homeopath, sometimes the most helpful and valuable prescribing information is when you are in an acute unwell situation. Read more about acute care here
Confused about what 48 business hours means?
Business hours are M-F from 9-6p. Business hours do not include the weekend, for example, an appointment for a Tuesday morning cancelled Friday afternoon does not fall within the requested 48 business hour window.
Calling to cancel after 6p on a weekday or on the weekend, does not make your missed appointment an exception.
I consider it an honor and a privilege to be of service and hope for a long and mutually satisfying relationship. I do understand in some cases there may be extenuating circumstances, however missed appointments or appointments cancelled with less than 48 business hours notice in advance affect us all and prevent us from being able to serve others in need.
