Medicine for you,
not just your symptoms.

When asked what my specialty is, this is not easy to answer. This is an allopathic question and in itself demonstrates the fundamental difference between an allopathic approach to medicine and homeopathy. I treat the individual, not the disease. I will say I have been in practice a long time and there is very little I have not seen.

Areas of Specialization and Expertise

I will say I have been in practice a long time and there is very little I have not seen, however there are certain areas I am highly trained, skilled and experienced to work in.

  • The general thinking and philosophy around the causes of chronic disease is that the deep roots of the cause lie buried within our psyche. If we understand the existence of the mind-body connection then we understand that these deep roots manifest on the physical plane.

Cutting off the flower or stems (that’s a metaphor) may make it look and feel better for a while, but this is not permanent healing. True healing lies in deeper exploration and addressing root causes. These root causes are psychological and can result from things such as intergenerational themes and trauma, stress, fear, worry and unresolved problems. Factors often overlooked by conventional medicine.

Homeopathy offers the gift of true healing. With its unique concept, homeopathy captures individually experienced stress patterns and translates them into a suitable remedy from nature. No matter what therapeutic path you take, healing is best achieved when individual disease patterns are understood in depth.

In his book The Myth of Normal, Gabor Maté highlights numerous studies and case histories that confirm the connection between stress, trauma, emotions, and chronic illness.

The challenge as a practitioner is that patients are often unaware of unconscious energy or themes driving their struggles. As a homeopath, the practitioner’s role is to hold space, guide and look for clues to where the stuck energy or sensitivity is.

  • There is only one place I would go if I broke my leg and that’s my local hospital emergency. Our North American conventional medical system provides superior care for emergency medicine and research, no question about it. And we know there are areas of care where conventional medicine falls short. The only real option in conventional medicine for chronic conditions is symptom management; there are no good answers for those on a path of permanent healing. The path for complaint resolution is found elsewhere: homeopathy, functional medicine, acupuncture and body centred awareness work.

Traditional Medicine doesn’t work for everyone

Homeopathy offers something unique that no other medicine can offer: solutions for chronic conditions. One focus of my work is psychological according to the work of Jack Rosenberg and Virginia Satir. In order to better understand the history of my patients, methods such as dream work, imagination, intergenerational themes and shadow work are important tools in daily work. I have completed the three-year advanced training course at the IBP Institute in California, USA and advanced training with the Satir Institute of the Pacific. Learn more about chronic care here

  • We exist inescapably in the context of relationships. Explore the underappreciated interpersonal component of our health

  • If you are have tried and are not getting significant relief from body-centred therapies, you may want to consider a different approach.

Integrative Body Psychotherapy understands that stuck places cause discomfort and pain. Unconscious protective coping is felt as holding patterns in our muscles, bones and fascia. Together we explore limiting belief patterns, unconscious family rules and old ways of relating to allow for more flow and ease in our bodies, minds and lives.

  • I have an integrative whole-person approach to medicine. I use homeopathy as a safe, gentle and enduring way to restore health and bring wholeness. I also draw from a number of specialties including functional medicine, and Traditional Chinese Medicine in my integrative approach to medicine. The way I work is similar to how a medical doctor in Europe would practice, using gentle medicines first. I want to assure you that not all of my tools are gentle. I bring out the big power tools when they are needed.

It’s often a relief to learn there are effective steps that can be taken before using harsh pharmaceuticals.

Approximately 40% of the patients seen in the clinic are children. I work with children, infants and babies as well as adolescents. Working with children is a specialty and a different process than working with adults.

Working with your child may begin with a specific condition or concern, but you may find over time that we've cleared up other lingering problems, be they physical or emotional.  Depending on your specific concerns, we may lean on one form of treatment more than another, and you are still going to get the additional benefits of all my background knowledge.  I treat the whole person and not just your most pressing problems therefore addressing virtually any illness, acute or chronic.

One of the groups I like to work with is CEOs. A CEO is someone who is in a lead position who mentors others and upon whom others lean.  This can be a mom, a dad, uncle or auntie, manager, supervisors, health care professionals, school principals, teachers and anyone who other people rely and lean on.

my core values

Compassion

I work hard to make our time together as comfortable as possible, especially when we’re talking about the hard stuff. For many, I am a supportive place of refuge. Compassion is an important part of healing, where feel heard and seen, helping to create a spirit of ease and safety.  We can’t always be comfortable, but we can find comfort in the discomfort.

Quality

I take pride in working hard to ensure I deliver quality in everything I do. Quality is not just about results—it’s about dedication, integrity, and a relentless pursuit of the best possible care. I continually seek knowledge, consulting with trusted professionals, staying up to date with the latest advancements, and refining my practice to ensure that you receive the best support available.

Accountability

Accountability means being proactive, making decisions with your best interests at heart and creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and heard. It means holding myself to the highest ethical standards, staying ontop of new developments, and ensuring that my communication and clinic policies are clear, honest, and transparent.

Self Awareness

Discomfort and distress are not necessairly roadblocks - they can be a bridge to transformation. We can grow from pain and we don’t need to stay there forever.  The discomfort of limiting patterns and old belief systems nudges us towards rediscovering our authentic self.  Self awareness is the first step and clue of where we are on this journey.  How can we make changes, if we can’t identify where we are right now?

And I know for some, pain is just pain. It doesn’t always come with a lesson—it just needs to be acknowledged and healed. No matter where you are on your path, I’m here to walk beside you.

  • "Finding yourself" is not really how it works. You aren’t a ten-dollar bill in last winter’s coat pocket. You are also not lost. Your true self is right there, buried under cultural conditioning, other people’s opinions, and inaccurate conclusions you drew as a kid that became your beliefs about who you are.

“Finding yourself” is actually returning to yourself. An unlearning, an excavation, a remembering who you were before the world got its hands on you.” – Emily McDowell

Hope is one of my core values. One of my strengths is holding an umbrella of hope for you. Healing and growth take time and the road is not always easy. If you’ve been struggling, you may have forgotten—or may not even know—that things can get better. Hope is essential for staying motivated on your path, especially when things feel difficult. And we all know that anything worth doing comes with challenges.

Even if you feel like hope is lost for you and your health, I’m here to remind you that there is always something we haven’t tried yet. I will hold space for hope, even when you feel like it’s gone.
