These core values are the things I build my life around.  They are guiding pillars in my life and in my work with my clients.  Here’s what they mean to me.

Self-awareness

“If you can’t feel it, you can’t heal it”.  Discomfort and distress can be a bridge for change. We can grow from pain and we don’t need to stay there forever.  The discomfort of limiting patterns and old belief systems push us so we begin to find our way back to our authentic self.  Self awareness is the cue of ‘where’ we are.  How can we make changes, if we can’t identify the place we are right now?  And I know for some pain is just pain.  There can be a lesson in it and sometimes there isn’t: we just need to get rid of the pain.

Quality

I pride myself in working hard to make sure I deliver on quality.  I consult with professional colleagues and teams regularly so I have access to the most up to date information.  I make sure all bases are covered in our work together.

I am committed to environmental causes and I walk my talk. My core values include sustainable resources and it is reflected in various ways including responsible decision making for endangered plant species in plant based medicine and also issues of substitution and contamination in the industry. Herbal dispensary manufacturing takes place on site so I can guarantee the quality of what you are taking home. I choose only organic or wildcrafted herbs and ensure all products in the dispensary are environmentally sensitive.

Accountability

I believe in proactive accountability.  Because of my commitment to you, this is important to ensure you feel safe and comfortable.  People know if I say I will do something, it will happen.  I spend a lot of time making sure that my communication and my clinic policies are clear and proactive.  To me, accountability includes continuing education. I mentor and teach in the community and I am always learning and stay on top of new developments.

I pledge to create and collaborate with ethical institutions, groups and people that are answerable to the public.

Hope

One of my strengths is that I hold an umbrella of hope for you.  Healing and growth work is rich and it can take time. If you have been struggling, you may have forgotten or you may not know that things can be better.  Hope is necessary to keep you motivated on your path when things feel hard.  And we all know that anything worth doing will have hard bits.

Even if you feel like hope is lost for you and your health, I’m here to remind you that there is always something we haven’t tried yet. I’m here to hold space for hope, even when you feel like it is gone.

Comfort

I like to be comfortable, and I want you to feel the same. I work hard to make our time together as comfortable as possible, especially when we’re talking about the hard stuff. Being comfortable is an important part of healing and helps create a spirit of ease and safety.  We can’t always be comfortable, but we can find comfort in the discomfort.

If this resonates for you, here’s where you can get in touch.
