What is Acute Care?
Acute care means that something is happening which is urgent and what you experience as being out of the ordinary. Sometimes we have something going on which is ‘acute’ and may also be reoccurring, for example recurring bladder infections, or ear infections in children. Your acute condition or that of your child could be a manifestation of a chronic or underlying chronic condition. Sometimes in the treatment of a chronic condition, an acute manifestation will occur, for example an acute flare of an arthritic condition, or an acute flare of palpitations in a heart condition.
What acute conditions are treated?
Many things fall under the heading of acute care and are effectively addressed by homeopathy and naturopathic care: for example, bladder infections, ear infections, accidents and injuries, headache and migraines, tooth pain (after you have been to the dentist), abscess, eczema and other skin outbreaks, anxiety and panic attacks, palpitations and hypertension among many other things. Yes, Unless this is a 9-1-1 emergency. If you already have an appointment and an acute situation comes up, please keep your appointment.
